Though no words came out from mouth of those lovely innocent kids but with their gestures they proved their worth. Though they were not masters of one field but they were class apart in another. Yes we are talking about Sai Seva Mentally Retarded School (Rahata, Shirdi) for Boys and Girls. We don’t agree with the name given by the management. They were not growth retarded, they had a different ability. Shirdi pilgrimage is somehow incomplete for us without visiting them and spending time with them. Lovely smiles won hearts of all of us and left us speechless. The way they danced on tunes of Marathi song was worth watching. Not only that, they accompanied us as well on same Marathi track again. Our joy had no bounds at that point of time. Though they are physically living in Rahata but they are with us here every single minute. Believe me, they are family to us. Many of us went emotional being there when one girl called one of the member with word ‘Mumma’. Her mother visited a day before and she was missing her and looking for her in the group. Sensational toys, various smart techniques are used to make their academics stronger. We salute the spirit of all the mentors who are giving all their best to make them stand well. It was lovely talking to the Head psychologist of the school who not only gave us a warm welcome but also made us feel close to the kids by talking about them. Small token of love was presented to little champs from Shri Sai Charan Society (Regd.) to be in their memories always. Water purifier as per the requirement was given on the day. It was fun being there and we would like you all to go there as well on your way from your places to Shirdi. Make them feel special as every child is a different kind of flower and they all together make a beautiful garden. Make sure that they blossom always. Jai Saiyan Di.
